About Us

Hello, I'm Mark
Music changed my life. One incredible teacher believed in me, challenged me, and showed me just how powerful learning an instrument can be. That moment didn’t just inspire me — it shaped my entire purpose. It’s the reason I teach, and the reason I’ve devoted my life to helping others discover what music can do for them.
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Popular Music from Edinburgh Napier University, I built my own award-winning music school in Scotland. Over 15 years, I worked with hundreds of students of all ages — watching them grow in confidence, find their voice, unlock their creativity, and achieve things they never imagined possible. Now, I’m taking that same energy, passion, and belief in people worldwide through My Music Lessons. What started as one teacher’s mission has grown into an international community.
I’m now working with talented, dedicated music tutors across the UK, Australia, and Singapore, making high-quality lessons accessible to students wherever they are. My approach is simple: real progress, real enjoyment, and zero pressure. With my Musician’s Momentum Method, students stay motivated week after week — celebrating small wins, building lasting confidence, and keeping the love of music alive. Many of my students have gone on to ace graded exams, join bands, write original music, continue into further education, and even become music teachers themselves.
But above all, student wellbeing is at the heart of everything I do. Learning music should lift you up. It should give you confidence, community, and a creative escape from the noise of everyday life. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or getting back into the swing of things, I’m here to help you grow, enjoy the process, and feel proud of every step you take. Music is better when you enjoy the journey. Let’s start yours.
